I for intensity

Intensity. Electricity. Snap, sizzle, zap. Over the wire I hear you. Talk. Gossip. Girls, too pretty too many too fiery. Disaster strikes, from the rooftops down to the paved sidewalks. They are watching, don't you see? I flee. I feel. Leave while you still can. Stand for something. When you try, you'll know finally what you're made of and if it's worth it. Forget it. But then again, don't. Can't you see? Nonsense. Nuisance. Prudence. Finales dramatically descending on the unsuspecting man. No way, woman. Dreams. In a bubble, as light as a feather. I float through the air while you stare unaware that there's a puzzle behind every piece. Pancakes, tossed up and flapping down into hungry mouths, so many to feed. What a treat. I see you me everybody I and ten cities.

You definitely captured intensity there! It almost made me tired, but that's good--I feel like you should have poetry slammed that.

Is this a poem? Because it reads like a poem, very descriptive, emotive, and well done.

Hart Johnson: Thanks for your generous comments. Nice to know that you think it's good :) Poetry slam... I looked up what that meant after reading your comment. I hadn't heard of it before this, but it sounds cool. Not sure if they have this where I live though. My country has a rather limited and narrow appreciation of the arts in general :(

Angela Felsted: I honestly don't know what is the right term for this kind of writing, but I've been doing it sporadically since I was 13 whenever I lack ideas to write something longer or more structured. Appreciate your feedback.. Thanks lots! :)

Now I want pancakes for breakfast. Mimis Cafe has the best ones. I'm off to the nearest one for breakfaast.

Stephen Tremp: Haha... erm... Mimis Cafe? Where is that? I don't think they have them where I live :(
